A Journey Between Past and Present

Dedicated to my mother, who spent her childhood here, Casa Marisa is much more than a place: it is a tribute to memory, roots, and the small gestures that tell the story of a life.

Casa Marisa, where time becomes memory
Discover the authentic soul of Ivrea

Each room holds a fragment of her past, through family objects and details that evoke a time when the home was the heart of every story.

The half-point embroidery artworks, created with patience and skill, represent the thread that connects generations—a refined embroidery technique of Renaissance origin, passed down through time and a symbol of care, elegance, and dedication.

Today, Casa Marisa preserves that spirit, welcoming every guest with the same warmth and sense of belonging that have always defined it.

Ivrea is a lively city all year round, where history and traditions intertwine with nature and sport. Among its most iconic events is the Historic Carnival of Ivrea, famous for the spectacular Battle of the Oranges, a reenactment unique in Europe that celebrates the freedom of the people of Ivrea.

The city is also deeply shaped by the Olivetti legacy, the company that revolutionized the world of work and industrial design in the 20th century, leaving an indelible mark on the culture and spirit of Ivrea.

Among the most fascinating traces of the past are the Castle of Ivrea, built in the 14th century, and the legend of King Arduino, a historical figure and symbol of independence, linked to medieval events and the famous ius primae noctis.

Today, Ivrea is also an important destination for sports enthusiasts: it hosts the Canoe World Championships on the rapids of the Dora Baltea River, attracting athletes and fans from all over the world each year.
